Asia Plantation Capital

in Kenya

The group’s associate company Africa Plantation Capital has acquired land in the Bao Lala locality of Kilifi County, a few kilometres after the popular Arabuko Sokoke Forest in Kenya, specifically for the management and cultivation of bamboo plantations.

Kenya was strategically selected as it provides an ideal habitat for growing bamboo and due to its rapid emergence as a growth hub for the African sub-continent. Kenya has the potential to be one of Africa’s great success stories resulting from its growing and youthful population, dynamic private sector, new constitution, and its pivotal role in East Africa. Furthermore Kenya’s deep-water port of Mombasa represents the ideal conduit to the wider global markets.
